The Eastern Champions are slugslinging heroes who have been protecting the Eastern Caverns for centuries, and have been using the ancient slugslinging art of Slug Fu to do so.
History[]
Dating back nearly two thousand years and eighty-eight generations, Junjie's family has had claim over the title of Eastern Champion since Yang began protecting the caverns, and since then the title and the responsibilities that come along with it have been passed down from one generation to the next.

- In Junjie's retelling of his ancestry's history, he seems to imply that neither Yang or any descendant ever went back to the Surface.
- Also in Junjie's retelling, the Emperor is seen as the primary enemy of the Eastern Champions, and his potential return was the motivation for their training.
