Not much is known about Quartermain Cavern, due to the cavern being ghouled throughout it's first appearance, so it's unknown if Quartermain Cavern is naturally a muddy environment.
It is or at least it was the home of the Earth Elemental before going joining the Shane Gang after being hunted down by Dr. Blakk and The Goon.
