- Clawstrike - Sinks its claws into an opponent and painfully carries them off.
- Gyraslash - Swarms around an opponent slashing at them with its wings and talons.
- Tracerbore - Can track the heat signature of an opponent, zero in for a targeted strike.

Trivia[]
- The possible reason for why they haven't been seen ghouled is because Hoverbugs fly at high speeds that probably prevented them from being caught and ghouled. That was until all of SlugTerra's Hoverbugs were ghouled since the Air Elemental was Ghouled in Return of the Elementals.
